‘Perfect Hostess’ Tips – Desserts

by on February 20, 2015

Dubai seems like an age and a half. Memories of pita bread and fresh juices linger on. My cupboards are full, full of treasures brought back. And this here? This is one of them.

Sigh, the best of lime in a jar.

Once I attempted to make something similar for bread pudding but it was a spectacular fail.

And so I’m thankful for this. To stuff my puff-puff with. To celebrate this season with mangoes and perfect pairings.

To remember walks around Waitrose at the Dubai Marina Mall. To celebrate life, hope and all things delicious.

This is the simplest of desserts.

Get some puff-puff – hot or cold. Cold preferable.

Stuff it with some lime marmalade.

I set mine to warm in a 180 degrees C oven for 5 minutes while I made some custard.

Which I served alongside…and did a dip or two into.

The puff-puff wasn’t homemade. I tried some from a guy who supplies the office.

The lime was a nice touch – like bitesize jam doughnuts/ donut holes.

The custard was an awesome mix. Coming next.

Just know you don’t always have to go ‘from scratch’, you just need those tips and tricks to make it ‘wow’.

Peace & Love.

And ELTV, Channel 165 DSTV tonight. I’ll be waiting for you 🙂[wpurp-searchable-recipe]’Perfect Hostess’ Tips – Desserts – – – [/wpurp-searchable-recipe]
