Oh my friend, what an absolutely inspired way to make apple sauce!! I have a pork roast on my MUST GET section of my grocery list tomorrow, and I can't wait to try your version of apple sauce to go with it. Heavenly! :-)

Sounds delightful. I know I would love it. And I also love that beautiful vessel holding the sauce, gorgeous photo! It's wonderful how when you persevere, kids start eating the things that they once turned their noses up at :) Well done.

Btw, to answer your question, we had to move out of our apartment for remedial work, and we're in a temporary rental place. But there's stuff on the horizon I'm not allowed to talk about yet, will keep you posted :)

This reminds me of a chutney with the ginger and other spices. I imagine that pounding the jumpy mustard was quite an event.

This looks delicious! I tend to think of applesauce as kids food, and as always a bit too sweet. I love this new grown-up take on it. :)

I LOVE the sound of this spicy sauce, so different from what I traditionally make. Sadly, I already have many jars in the larder, but when they're gone I'm giving this brilliant recipe a whirl. Lovely photos too, Oz!
