For capitalization in English, there are three main rules on which everyone can agree:
- Capitalize the first letter in every sentence.
- Capitalize initial letters of proper nouns.

a name used for an individual person, place, or organization, spelled with an initial capital letter, e.g. Jane, London, and Oxfam.
- Capitalize the pronoun I.
