I’m all for cocktails. Even with Guinness. It isn’t as though I’m exactly past my Guinness and Coke days of young, this just called out to me even if in my head, I wasn’t hopeful. I mean how can more sour than sweet and bitter make a delightful union?

Guinness. From Nigerian Brewries.
A ‘cocktail’, introduced to me via Miss Jayla.
I got out my calabash and gingerly poured some wine. No elders sat around watching me do this…but still, I did so with reverence.
I topped up with a dash of bitter. Guinness, loving the froth but being careful to skew quantities in favour of ‘Pammy’.
The result? A dark ‘brew’ with the characteristics of both. Sour, somewhat bitter, this isn’t yet a ‘thing’, not yet ‘my thing’.
I need sweeter wine. Much sweeter palm wine. Till then, I shall ‘park’ this and move on to something new.
